This four-part workshop series is designed to help faculty intentionally cultivate deeper thinking in students across traditional, asynchronous, hybrid, and real-world learning environments.
Participants will begin by exploring how students learn and develop critical thinking skills, then move into practical strategies for designing assignments, prompts, rubrics, discussions, and learning activities that foster analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and application. With attention to digital learning, AI-era challenges, and authentic classroom-to-career connections, this series equips instructors with research-informed tools to help students think critically, engage meaningfully, and transfer their learning beyond the course.
