Diverse institutions, aligned aims - Enhancing PhD research dissemination – a panel discussion spanning continents

Jste zvání, abyste se připojili k panelové diskusi, které se účastní ředitelé knihoven tří prestižních univerzit (University of Johannesburg, Lancaster University, University of Liverpool), a která se bude týkat jejich strategie podpory výzkumných komunit a šíření disertačních prací. Pořadatelem je společnost ProQuest.

Všechny tři instituce začaly v roce 2020 zveřejňovat disertační práce svých studentů v databázi ProQuest Dissertation & Thesis (PQDT).

Diskuse se zaměří na to, jak taková spolupráce mezi knihovnami a ProQuestem zapadá do politiky otevřeného přístupu a zároveň zvyšuje dosah a dopad výstupů výzkumu ve prospěch instituce a jejích vědců.

Panelisté:

• Prof. Maria Frahm-Arp is Executive Director: UJ (University of Johannesburg (South Africa)) Library. Prof. Frahm-Arp additionally holds a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow position in the Department of Religion Studies, Faculty of Humanities, UJ, having completed her PhD at The University of Warwick in the UK.
• Andrew Barker is Director of Library Services, Lancaster University, Chair of the Board of Trustees, UKSG, and a member of SCONUL’s Execu­tive Board.
• Phil Sykes is Director of Libraries, Museums and Galleries at the University of Liverpool, and a former chair of RLUK (Research Libraries UK).
